Journalism & photography internship program suits best for mass communication and media students. But anyone who is willing to gain some experience in media field may join the internship program.
Nepal is very diverse in culture, climate and landscape. Within 150-kilometer range you can visit a flat land which is only over 100 meter above sea level to hilly region above 1500 meter high and to some of the highest mountain in the world. This is an amazing opportunity for photographers to capture stunning photos.
As an intern you will get a chance to write in an online portal, travel multi location for find content and work closely with a local media professional. It would be a fully guided trip as you will need someone assist you with your project. Our experienced local coordinator would assist you with photography and journalism topic. This opportunity is available throughout Nepal.
Our journalism and photography coordinators are from various background and have some experience in journalism and photography. We can arrange multiple language speaking coordinator according to your preference. Nepal journalism and photography program runs all year round and available from 2 to 20 weeks.
Your typical day starts with a cup of morning tea. Generally you will wake up around 7am. Morning tea is served around 7:30 with light snacks. Main meal is ready about 9am. After meal get ready and go to your work.

Generally your accommodation and meals will be arranged at a local family within your working area. You will be provided a private room with basic furniture. Meals is served 3 times a day. Dal Bhat Tarkari (Rice, Lentils and vegetables) is the most common food cooked in Nepali homes. Most of the families in urban area have Wi-Fi at home, western toilets and hot shower but in our countryside placement only limited access of internet. There are pan toilets and normal shower.
In case, if your photography and journalism internship is multi city in that case your accommodation and food will be arranged at the local hotel and tea houses.
Water– You can either purchase bottled water at local tea shops or ask with your hosting family for filtered or boiled water.
