The Medical and nursing internship program provides you an opportunity to work together with medical and nursing professionals in Nepal. The internship will take place in large city hospitals to local health centers according to your expertise and preference.
We are currently partnering with a pediatric hospital in Kathmandu and other general hospitals around Kathmandu and Chitwan. Rural medical facilities are on our internship placement list too.
The medical and nursing internship program run all year round and available from 1- 20 weeks.
Your typical day starts with a cup of morning tea served around 7:30am. Main meal is ready around 9-9:30am and head to the hospital.
At the hospital and health center facility you will meet up with internship co-ordinator who will give you clear instruction about what department you would be working. You will work 4-6 hours a day, 6 days a week. Saturday is the day off.

Your accommodation and meals will be arranged at a local family close to your internship placement(5 to 15-minute walk). You will be provided a private room. Meals are served 2-3 times a day. Dal Bhat Tarkari (Rice, Lentils and vegetables) is the most common food cooked in Nepali homes.
Most of the family have Wi-Fi, western toilets and hot shower which is a bonus otherwise pan toilets and normal shower.
Water- You can either purchase bottled water at the local shops or ask with your hosting family for filtered or boiled water.
