The two weeks volunteer and jungle safari package offers combined services of volunteering and wildlife sanctuary. You will have an opportunity to volunteer at our community project. Once you complete your volunteering program you will travel to Chitwan National park to discover Nepal’s wildlife. The most popular animal you will encounter while on jungle safari are rhinos, tigers, elephants, birds, bears, crocodile and spotted dear.
Accommodation and meals will be arranged at a local host family while volunteering. You will be served 3 meals a day. Dal Bhat Tarkari (Rice, Lentils and vegetables) is the most common food cooked in Nepali homes.
Depending on the project that you choose but in general you will wake up around 7am and your typical day starts with a cup of morning tea. Main meal is served around 9:30am. After meal head to the project. You will be working 6 days a week. Saturday is the day off.

Accommodation and meals during the volunteering- Accommodation and meals will be arranged at a local family close to your project while volunteering. You will be provided a private room with a bed and a table. Meals is served 3 times a day. Dal Bhat Tarkari (Rice, Lentils and vegetables) is the most common food cooked in Nepali homes. Most of the family have Wi-Fi, western toilets and hot shower which is a bonus otherwise pan toilets and normal shower.
Accommodation and meals during the jungle safari-Accommodation and food will be arranged at the jungle retreat hotel/resort.
Water– You can either purchase bottled water at local tea shops or ask with your hosting family for filtered or boiled water.

FAQ’s about this trip
How do I get to Chitwan after I finish my volunteering placement ?
We will arrange a tourist bus for you. It leaves in the morning (7:00 AM) and takes about 5 hours to your jungle safari resort.
How will I find hotel Upon arrival in Chitwan?
A VCD Nepal representative will pick you up from the bus stop. As soon as you arrive to the hotel you will be welcomed by a glass of soft drink and they will hand over your activities itinerary for 3 days.
Do I need any special clothing or gear for jungle safari?
Not really. But I advise you to bring mosquito repellent and sun protection location.
How do I get back to Kathmandu after Safari ?
Our local coordinator will arranged a transportation to be back to Kathmandu.
