I have had a wonderful time volunteering in Nepal with VCD! Every moment has been so memorable and feel I have had the chance to truly explore the city of Kathmandu in my four weeks here. In my time here I have been working as an intern at the tourism times magazine. I have had the opportunity to research stories, write them up and learn about how the magazine operates.

I was given a lot of freedom to write stories I was interested in, and was incredibly lucky to have many stories published in the magazine. As well as my time at the magazine I did lots of sightseeing and also visited Chitwan where I saw many interesting animals and explored the jungle. I feel I have really found a family staying at the volunteer accommodation and have been made to feel very at home.

I would recommend VCD to anyone who has an adventurous spirit and a desire to explore a beautiful and unique country!
