Bikram Paudel
Founder/Director
Mr. Paudel is the visionary Founder and Director of VCD Nepal. Since its establishment in 2007, under his leadership, VCD Nepal has been at the forefront of community development and volunteerism. With a demonstrated ability to design impactful projects and cultivate strategic partnerships, including with the European Commission-funded Erasmus+ project, Mr. Paudel brings extensive experience to his role.

Beyond his NGO commitments, he also operates an adventure holiday company catering to global travelers, reflecting his dedication to showcasing Nepal's natural beauty. With a global perspective gained from extensive travel to countries such as Europe, North America, Australia, and Asia, Mr. Paudel ensures the seamless execution of all projects at VCD Nepal. Santosh Pokhrel
Program Coordinator & internship head
Santosh has been a part of VCD Nepal since early 2008, overseeing placements for international interns and managing media-related volunteer initiatives. Holding a master's degree in journalism and mass communication, his expertise and willingness to aid volunteers underscore his crucial role within the organization.
Pratikshaya Paudel
Community Library Coordinator
Pratikshya joined VCD Nepal in December 2014 as the Community Library Coordinator, overseeing operations in Chitwan. She excels in motivating local children and facilitates homestays for international volunteers. Her representation of VCD Nepal in youth capacity building programs across Europe, Indonesia, and Singapore reflects her dedication to the organization's mission.
Shyam Silwal
Village Coordinator
As a village coordinator since 2007, he ensures volunteers' comfort, guiding them through local sights. His family has hosted 50+ volunteers from 10+ countries. Living in Godawari, Nepal, with his wife and daughters, he embodies hospitality and community spirit, warmly welcoming and engaging with all.
Durga Giri
Pokhara Co-ordinator
Mr. Giri serves as VCD Nepal's coordinator for the Pokhara region while also teaching at a local school. He mobilizes local volunteers for community projects, utilizing his experience since 2008. Additionally, his family has hosted many volunteers, enriching their cultural exchange.

South American Coordinator- Maria Del Rosario Vasquez, from Colombia, spent around five months in Nepal during 2014/2015. She participated in VCD's tourism and hospitality program and assisted in the development of new projects. Maria is known for her kindness, warm heart, and friendly nature, leaving a positive impression on those she encountered.

Ignacio Aylwin, originally from Chile but having lived in Spain for a period before returning to Chile, serves as our overseas coordinator since 2019. He has visited Nepal twice, volunteering at the local school and monastery. Ignacio is your go-to for inquiries regarding VCD Nepal and traveling to Nepal.

Rebecca, a compassionate individual, has volunteered with VCD Nepal twice. During her initial visit, she dedicated her time to the monastery, while on her second trip, she pursued a medical internship, utilizing her nursing profession. Her commitment is evident as she has visited Nepal four times.

Danish Coordinator
Gitte has visited Nepal 13 times since her initial trip in 2008. Spending over a year in Nepal, she dedicated herself to working at the orphanage in Chitwan, assisting at monasteries, and volunteering at numerous VCD Nepal projects. Back home in Denmark, Gitte, a retired teacher of 39 years, retains her passion for travel, exploring new cultures, and offering assistance wherever possible.

European Coordinator
Miriam has visited Nepal three times, dedicating a total of 8 months to various projects. Her contributions include assisting at a monastery, aiding in establishing VCD's Kathmandu head office, and coordinating volunteers. Additionally, she has extensively explored the country, enriching her experiences and perspectives through travel.
